December has been a busy month for me, and I’m looking forward to a festive rest over Xmas and New Year. But I’ll be back, bright and bushy-tailed, in early January, raring to go with more business start-up help projects and initiatives designed to improve business profitability.
Variety is the spice of life – 3 ways to make more profit
In the past few weeks I’ve designed a modular emergency shelter made from recycled material for disaster zones. It’s designed to be semi-permanent and for use in places like Haiti and Syria, where disaster-struck people are eking out an uncomfortable and undignified life in tents. I’m a partner in the business and the long term potential is vast. Watch this space!
I’ve also been working with a tool hire company that wants to get into hydraulic bolting, something I know a good deal about. We’re collaborating on technical support and content creation for their web site, raising their profile and helping to drive their new initiative ahead in the right direction, in the most profitable and effective way.
I’ve also been working closely with an American manufacturer who has developed a revolutionary piece of hardware that records bolting operations in real time and stores the data in the cloud. Oil and gas companies are crying out for something like this and it’s going to be massive. I’ve used my contacts and pushed their business on in leaps and bounds in no time, an incredibly satisfying thing to be able to do. And I’m developing worldwide sales for them, spreading the good word.
